An AI Node At Every Junction
An AI node at every traffic junction controls the traffic signals. It reacts within the second to real time traffic data from video feeds. This results in a solution that is much more optimal than traditional adaptive traffic control approaches.
Deep Learning Algorithms
Deep learning algorithms applied on upto 10 video feeds at each junction create and continuously improve complex models of human behavior. These models play a significant role in the system's decision making process, helping it optimize traffic without startling commuters.
AI nodes from each junction are in constant communication with their neighbors in order to optimize conditions across signals. This is done by syncing with neighbors to create green corridors so that heavy traffic doesn't need to wait at each light. Further, all AI nodes are also in communication with a central control room, which can reroute city traffic as desired, to efficiently handle emergency vehicles, road maintenance and repairs.
Extensive Fault Tolerance
Extensive fault tolerance ensures the smooth operation of traffic signals. Adaptivity at each junction continues despite failures such as communication failure or camera failure. In case the AI node itself fails, fall-back signaling from the controller takes over. The control room is notified of failures for prompt maintenance.
