Digital Signal What???Fundamentals of DSP

Conducted By:
Udayan Kanade In Brief: Where is the “Frequency Domain”? How do we get there? How do we get back from where we started? Where did we start anyway? Do things look different in the Frequency Domain? Why? And, most importantly: why would you want to go to the Frequency Domain? The allimportant Frequency Domain is at the center of all engineering theory. It is certainly at the center of the subject of DSP. This course takes the student deep inside the territory of the socalled Frequency Domain — a veritable wonderland of wonderful ideas forming the very basis of all of engineering theory. Target Audience: All electrical, and electronics students and engineers should definitely be interested in this course. Everybody interested in signal / image processing, control systems, and machine learning would also benifit from the basics presented. The concepts presented in the course are interesting to all budding engineers, scientists and applied mathematicians. Course Topics: Linear systems, shift invariant systems, correlation, convolution, Fourier transforms, fast Fourier transform, filter theory, ztransform, sampling, applications. Prerequisites: 12^{th} standard mathematics. Teacher's Introduction: Udayan Kanade did his MS in Computer Science with the specialization “Optimization and Signal Processing” from Stanford. He works for Oneirix Labs and Noumenon Multiphysics. Udayan has taught fundamentals of DSP 5 times, and Advanced DSP 5 times. Schedule:
