A uniaxial test can measure certain parameters of elastic behavior. A biaxial test can measure more parameters. Our own multiaxial testing machine merges data from both uniaxial and biaxial tests to produce more accurate measurements of elastic behaviour.
But, is there a system that can measure any elastic behavior? And is it too much to ask for an actual machine that does it? We think not.
Oneirix Labs is currently designing, what we call a “Universal Elasticity Modeling System”, and its associated algorithms. We envision a single machine capable of testing any elastic material. Further, it would generate enough information for the elastic material under test, to let us predict how that material will behave in any envisionable situation!
