Shrikant has a passion for accelerating transformative innovations to market. Through his boutique practice as President of DeepTech Ventures & Advisory he has advised and mentored a portfolio of startups in frontier technologies, advanced materials and manufacturing. He is a recognized industry thought leader, author of visionary works, and an invited speaker/panelist at innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture capital forums.
Shrikant brings more than two decades of global leadership, cross-functional and general management experience across Fortune 500 companies, startups, venture capital, open-innovation, and industry organizations. He has a track record in incubation, scaling, turnaround, and M&A of startups as well as multi-$100M businesses. Shrikant is an inventor on over a dozen patents and has successfully led several technologies, products, and solutions from concept to commercial success. He is co-founder of two venture funded startups and a global non-profit organization. Shrikant is a veteran of the semiconductor/microelectronics industry. Recently he has served as chief executive of two industry leading organizations, evangelizing "expanded ecosystem" and open-innovation led collaboratives, emerging market opportunities and impact.
Shrikant holds a doctorate in Physics from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he was a Research Fellow in the Frederick Seitz Materials Research Laboratory, and has an integrated masters from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He received executive management education from Stanford University.
